The 6th Annual Honor and Awards Banquet of the PSCA, held in the banquet room of the Harrisburg/Hershey Holiday Inn on February 2, was a grand success. There were close to 400 people in attendance for the early afternoon affair. Eighty-six of our All State players were there to receive their certificates and a Brine soccer ball. The NSCAA Regional All-America and NSCAA National All-America Boys and Girls were recognized by PSCA Master of Ceremony Robby Robinson. Shane Pruitt, PSCA Player of the Year from Peters Township High School and Sarah Oswald of Emmaus High School were honored as the male and female Player of the Year in Pennsylvania. They each received a beautiful trophy and a Brine sport bag.

The PSCA Coaches of the Year Awards were presented with their plaques. The Gerald Botdorf Service Award was presented to Mike Bullock from the Harrisburg Patriot News for his service to soccer.

The highlight of the banquet was the presentation to soccer legend Walter Bahr of the United States Soccer Federation, Pennsylvania State University, and Frankfort High School. Mr. Bahr earned recognition as the 2008 PSCA Honor Award recipient and PSCA Hall of Fame inductee.
